In every poll with Giuliani as a choice, Palin's numbers are lower. Since he is perceived as more liberal than most other choices, that doesn't make much sense to me.

Maybe respondands with a strong stance on national security rather opt for him than Palin?

And what's the deal with those small samples these days? 303 respondents is quite low for a national poll.

RussTC3:

They just polled the Republican sample from the complete poll (363 Democrats, 303 Republicans, 180 Independents and 54 Other/No Party for 900 total).

Of course the small sample carries with it a fairly large MoE of +/- 7 points.

Also, both Palin and Giuliani increased from the last time they asked the question (+4 Palin, +1 Giuliani)

Fox News / Opinion Dynamics 7/21-22 (5/12-13 in paranthesis)
Mitt Romney 22 (18)
Mike Huckabee 21 (20)
Sarah Palin 17 (13)
Rudy Giuliani 13 (12)
Bobby Jindal 3 (3)
Jeb Bush 1 (3)
Tim Pawlenty 1 (n/a)
Mark Sanford - (4)

Any chance of getting a chart for 2012? I know it's pretty much worthless this early, but it would be nice to see how these numbers change in relation to current events (Palin's resignation, etc.).
