As the full article shows, the long-term trends have remained effectively unchanged for decades.

We are as clearly divided on this issue as any other in this country. Unlike attitudes of sexual preference (where the movement has been towards tolerance), I do not see any trend either way.

They should have asked the illegal/legal questions differently. I would have liked to see the amount who believe it should be Illegal except under certain circumstances like rape or health issues.
