I keep seeing these polls. I'm not sure you can take much out of it. What would be worth polling on top of this is whether you would support banning abortion or not. In that case, I would assume the numbers would start skewing back towards the Pro-choice side. Most Americans don't like abortion and would not choose that route, but I don't know if most Americans would want the constitution banning abortions for all.

Americans would favor banning late term and partial birth abortions....while they would not support banning early term abortions....

As I and many others have said before "pro-life" and "pro-choice" are fuzzy terms without much meaning. Only a fifth or so of Americans say that abortion should always be illegal, and only a fifth say it should always be legal. The rest have views which depend on the situation.
