Obama needs to make up his damn mind on this. The generals say they need mote troops....Obama cannot do that for fear of losing his radical left wing base. He is playing politics while troops are on the ground...he eihte rneeds to listen to his generals or get the hell out all together....
You do not fight wars based on public opinion or what your kook base may think. Send the damn troops or get out... make a decision. You don't get to vote present on this one Obama....you actually have make the decision.

Obama has time on this, especially with the runoff election taking place. He has to wait to see who he's working with, but I agree Stillow, he does need to make a timely decision when the elections in Afghanistan are completed.

One other note, it's not always best to listen to the generals on the ground. Had Kennedy listened to the generals we would have started a war with the Soviet Union during the Cuban Missile Crisis. One thing people fail to realize is that military and intelligence agencies are people. They don't possess powers beyond that of any other person. These people are very knowledgeable about conditions on the ground, but their opinions can be skewed based on their job.
If you go to a pizza man he will give you pizza. If you go to a surgeon, he will give you surgey. If you go to a general, he will give you a war. The question is: do you want pizza, do you actually need surgery, does war accomplish your ultimate goal?
