Obama needs to make up his damn mind...how long has it been now that he is "considering" increasing troop levels? Make a damn decision, iether give the general the troops he says he needs to get this thing under control and take ncare of or get the hell out...at this point I don't even care...just make a decision. You are the president, act like it.

Field Marshal:

Agreed. Where is the republican equivalent of Alan Grayson setting up a website of the US soldiers who have died while waiting for a decision? Oh right, there are no certifiably crazy republican politicians. The left seems to have a monopoly on the nut cases in congress.

Boomshak Don't Step to This:

Yeah, because rushing to judgment generally produces good results, like invading Iraq.

Oh please. The general Obama put i nthere says he needs more troops.....Obama wants to vote present on this one, but he can't. He does not want to tick of his radical liberal extremist base by sending more troops, but knows to get the job done properly he must.

He is delaying on purpose cus he is afraid of his loony base....and is putting our guys in danger by doing it. As a proud former serviceman I would like to say to Obama....make a decision sir....there are lives at stake here, we do not have the time to sit and wait while you try and make your loony fringe base all warm and fuzzy.

Xenobion:

Uhhh Obama is not accountable to his "looney base" and would not fear reprocussions from an executive order or budget increase for troop spending that republicans would probably be on board. I would expect him to adjust strategy next year after the snow melts and the fighting increases.

@Field Marshall:

"there are no certifiably crazy republican politicians."
What about Michelle Bachmann? Or Sarah Palin? Or Rick 'secessionist' Perry? Or James 'climate-change denier' Inhofe? Actually, I guess Palin isn't technically a politician at the moment, after she abandon... I mean resigned her post.

Grayson is an honourable man.

@Stillow:

Give the man time to weigh up the options. Even if he decides now to send 40,000 extra troops, they won't go until the spring, so he has plenty of time to make a decision, it is not costing any extra lives, as they will still go at the same point in time. The consequences of his decision, either way, could cost extra lives. Surely having time to get it right is better than a snap judgement?

Here we go again...what makes Palin crazy? Because she beleives in God? Beleives unborn children are just that, unborn children. Beleives i nthe riht to own a gun....

____________________

Xenobion:

What makes Pelosi crazy? The answer is that they are both politicians and people use inflamatory words to describe their over zealous actions. Palin falls into this category.

Wong:

Palin believes that Obama and Rahm were responsible for her scandal in Alaska, "troopergate" That makes her paraniod crazy. Read the book and it will be hard not to be convinced

MancJon:

Re: Palin: No, most Republicans (and many Democrats, unfortunately) believe those things, and whilst I don't agree, I don't think they are crazy. Palin falls into that category for harping on about the so-called 'death-panels'. Before that, she was just objectionable.

Stillow:

They probably were Wong....there were over 500 democratic lawyers and investigators up in Alaska during the campaign trying to dig up dirt and scandals.............

____________________

Xenobion:

Troopergate completely happened before the election. Yeah they were digging up dirt on her, that's called vetting.

Field Marshal:

How is Michelle Bachmann crazy?

Pelosi is crazy because of she believes that the government is the solution to our problems not to mention that she has a lot of marxist beliefs. To have ANY marxist beliefs is just nuts given all the examples of its failures.

Xenobion:

Michelle Bachman thinks the Democrats created the H1N1 virus, she believe the Census Bureau is the government spying on you and compares it to WWII internment camps. Not to mention before I could even finish typing her name Google suggested "Michelle Bachman Crazy" as the #5 suggestion. The internet has spoken.

Xenobion:

Show me where Pelosi is a Marxist. Do you understand what Marxism is? Do you understand the difference of Marxism, Communisim, Leninism, Socialism, and Maoism? If you can tell me those differences you can use the word Marxist again lol.

____________________

MancJon:

@Xenobion:

Well said. Don't use words you don't understand, Field Marshall. Pelosi Marxist? Don't make me laugh.

As an aside: how well is capitalism doing at the moment? Oh yeah, f-ing sh*t.

Stillow:

Pelosi is a socialist.....and as for Bachman, I think she's a babe, so she can say whatever she wants.

Xenobion:

I'd still call myself a Capitalist. Its the best system we have and its quite natural to do socialistic policies in a capitalist system when the system hurts like it does now. But similarly its also good to get rid of those policies when the economy gets going good. Its unfortunate that people think we need to be either stringent capitalists or always providing a safety net to people. The system should be flexible and retractable, not ideologically pure and rigid. There are a 1000 roads to make an economy good again and they both involve fiscal policy and monetary policy that would be considered "socialist." Its unfortunate that people marry economics with social politics. They really don't belong together.
