Nah, just watch... a few teabaggers will show uo at a townhall and the numbers will quickly flio... After seeing the BS lies from the right actually believed, it's clear that the American people still have some learning to do...
I don't think the townhall protesters speak for all people opposed to healthcare. A lot of disapproval comes from people who want single payer or don't think Obama has led effectively on the issue.
Do you guys seriously beleive anything ABC, CBS or NBC put out these days? I don't mind you supporting the insane cap and trade nonsense, but you really beleive the networks?
LordMike,
I also expect the numbers to converge somewhat as people hear from the other side and learn more for themselves. Don't fear a debate, dude.
This poll doesn't mean anything. Only 1000 people were polled. 1000 people can't possibly represent everyone. The US energy policy that Congress is developing will do nothing but tax the h3ll out of everyone one way or another and won't solve anything. Ask Spain.. We need free market solutions not government mandated and controlled solutions to solve the energy problem. If it wasn't for government, we would have been energy dependent a long time ago. There solution is really about control and money.
We are so concern about paying taxes that we are at a point where no one wants to pay for anything!
As more Citizens come into the picture, government needs to operate with bigger budgets. The real issue is to find a way for the people to scrutinize how government spends the money. Thus, I support tax hikes for every one based on what $$$ you make.... pay as you go!
As Citizens we should be more concerned about goverment waste then taxing those that make more money. More money for goverment is not the way to go. Look at the post office, amtracks, medicaid, social security where they are running at a deficit. I love our money being used to support Octomom's elective fertility. I know two others on welfare that had that done as well. My husband works 50 to 60 hours a week to make more money. If it is taxed more, why do it? YOu are better off not trying to go beyond average. I support pay as you go for everyone....a flat 20 percent tax. (I used to believe that we should tax luxury items until I saw the mass amount of people unemployed that made boats and all that goes with it.)
Are you kidding??? If the American people are going for this charade then they aren't so smart. And that is why I think the support for this cap and tax is false. Because the American people are catching on to the Obama take over of the American way of life. And the facts are coming out that this extra tax would not change the climate but may lower the tempretures by ----less than 1 degree. Plus if there is no joining of the more industrial countries ie. China and India there couldn't be much of a difference at all in the worlds climate.
I'm losing respect for this site. every news article I've read say only 35-44% of people agree with Obama Health Care. Yet this story says 55%. Some body a stinking liar for the Socialists. Shame on you. I argued with a fellow Republican about Health Care. I said no body should be turned down or treated differently, just because you don't have money. He said, if you can't afford Health Insurance, you don't deserve Health care. I was in shock. I believe, he was raised by well to do parents. Got his job, because of his parents and has been eating with the Silver Spoon. There are too many people, who didn't have things handed to them. Too many, who made bad decisions, because their parents also made bad decisions and had no idea how to guide and influence their children properly. These excuses are not reasons too deprive some one of basic Health Care. I have had the experience of working in Doctors homes. Most have Huge Pillars holding up the front door. Most have Mercedes and Lamborghini or Maserati in the garages, next to their boats and Harley. Who do they think they are? I install business phone systems. No doctor can do my job. Yet, I make in the low $20,000 a year. I do not believe going to air conditioned Colleges and partying your A$$ off, means you deserve to be treated like a king. They need to have their charges limited. Dentist too have gotten out of control. 10 years ago, their fillings of a cavity increased 500%. All at once all Dentist jacked up the rates. Talk about price fixing. I do not want to pay for a middle man Health Insurance CEO and their castles they build around themselves and then say they deserve it. Taking millions from payers trying to get Health Care. Eliminate Health Insurance. Let, that so called 30 or 40% cost go to the Health care providers, not Health Insurance con artists.
Why is it that the socialist media outlets feel it necessary to cook the books? All reputable polls reflect dismal support for the Obama Energy Policy. Could it be that the American people are able to read and comprehend a catastrophic piece of feces that, if enacted, would cripple the industry, cost millions of jobs and make energy costs skyrocket...all of this in the midst of a recession? C'mon, ABC News, put down the Kool Aid! How about some believable poll results.

So Mr. JohnJacobs...you think the Dr. should share with you? To begin with, I certainly don't agree with your friend but I've not heard of anyone being turned down at a hospital when they needed treatment. That's why so many of the central hospitals are going broke now. If you think this is bad, I hope you never have to witness how the socialized medical system works. As for you trading places with the Dr. I doubt you would last a month. Their life, is not their own. Their family, so much of the time is without this parent. Granted, as in every occupation, your's included, some are more conscientious than others. I also wouldn't trade places with celebrities. I'd take 'peace of mind' any time over having people paw over me day and night. They pay a tremendous price for their fame and money. Maybe you fall into the category of riches at any price...as the sayings go...different strokes for different folks. We have the greatest Health TREATMENT [not just care] system in the world today. Problem is it desperately needs to be FIXED. Such as: 1. Tort Reform 2. Laws to prevent use of pre-existing disorder rules
3. Allow Interstate Ins. availability 4. Portability of Ins. polices
5. Medical savings plans 6. Deductible premiums for Individuals
7. I'm sure there are many more to improve..but these will do as starters!
Mr. AIS 2000, have you EVER in your life totaled up the taxes you pay in any given week? I don't think I've ever heard of anyone suggesting we not pay taxes. We DO want them to be fair and balanced. Before you say something else that you obviously haven't thought through, why not carry pad and pen with you at all times and make a note of the amount of taxes of EVERY Item you buy, gas, cig., drinks, household items, recreational items, movie tickets...etc.. Even I, probably would be shocked at the amount. Then, if you pay income taxes, add that to your total. However you get paid....weekly, monthly, etc. weigh it out over what you may or may not get back at the end of the year. And you accuse us of trying to get out of paying taxes? Shame on you, and you are in favor of a tax hike? Do your homework then we'll talk about the PAY AS YOU GO....in other words THE FAIRTAX BILL.....that will TRULY be fair!
So people realize that this very well could raise some energy prices, yet still support it. Seems like the American people actually ARE smart.
