If that Issa in CA even tries to investigate any corruption on the Obama administration, it is time for Holder to try to indite Cheney, Rumsfeld and all their henchman for war crimes. Blackwater, Halliburton and the rest should not be roaming free. They deserve to be in a maximum security prison locked in solitary 23 hours a day.

If Issa the Rep even tries to investigate this administration he has another thing coming.

We learned from the past that Sex with an intern and denying it was a more impeachable offense than lying to the country about WMD's and being responsible for a war which 4000 people lost their lives.

farleft,

Do you really believe the crap that you write? Honestly? And then you complain about the education in this country being poor when you are a direct illustration of that.

I sure hope the DNC and Obama listens to you.

boomer40:

farleft, what does any of that have to do with the poll posted here?

____________________

Farleftandproud:

What it has to do with, is just the memory of having Dick Cheney for VP for so many years. If Biden had the kind of political power that Cheney had, you righties would really be calling for the president's impeachment.

Well, If the DNC listened to an extremist like me, they aren't going to want me to appear public, which is a good thing, but does Rush Limbaugh make sense? How many people listen to him?

Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Propoganda ads and fear mongering worked for Bush in 2004 with swiftboating, and is all fair in politics. LBJ used the girl blowing the dandelion with a mushroom cloud in the background; perhaps, a grizzly ad with scary music as an attack ad against a contreversial candidate would be a good thing.

For Blunt, it can be his hypocrisy on attacking Obama for the bailout, and his huge money from Halliburton, with Sharon Angle it can be her direct comments, calling for criminalization of abortion, wiping out the education dept and social security; for Fiorina, it can be her poor management of HP; for Rand Paul it can be his questionable comments about changing the civil rights act, which few other politicians have even brought up.

Blunt supported the huge bailout under Mccain, and actually wanted something bigger than Obama wanted. Later on he was at a tea party event.

What is the purpose of this poll?

____________________

Farleftandproud:

It was done to see if the new Republican surge and Democratic slips in the polls have reflected the Bush administration in a positive way. Clearly the answer is no.

Biden will kick butt in PA this August when he does a tour up there. I am wondering when I'll see a Delaware poll. I predict a Castle victory, but Biden can still help his own state.

And judging by his campaign performance since the inauguration, i sure hope they send Obama out and about campaigning too.

I guess they wanted to poll the favorability of the current and last two vice presidents. Cheney is the least popular of any of them, Gore probably at the same place where he was in 2000, Biden a lot of people haven't made up their mind.

____________________

Aaron_in_TX:

With a track record that includes Cheney, Dan Quayle and Spiro Agnew, republicans don't exactly occupy the high ground when it comes to vice presidents.

Dick head should be at 20%,but anyway Sarah Palin in Newt Gingrich have raised millions of dollars,so what do that tells you? It tells they are going to run in 2012. This is going to be a big headache for the GOP,because Palin or Newt don't have a chance in hell of winning in the General, but they have a good chance of capturing the Republican nomination.Roomney in Huckabee and Pawlenty don't have a chance of winning the Primaries, but have a slight chance of winning the General,so its going to be very intrusting to see who the GOP pick in 2012.Tom Ridge told Fox News if the GOP recapture all 3 branches of Govt, in then follow the same policies of the Bush administration,he predict the Republican party will never win back the 3 branches of Govt again.

What a weird poll. Why is there no George Bush approval rating? Never would have thought that Biden had a positive approval rating while Al Gore and Dick Cheney have negative approval ratings.

Senator Feingold will not vote yes for the financial bill on Thursday, he is going to be the only Democrat who votes no,so that tells me he is definitely going to challenge Obama in 2012.

FLAP,

I have read your comments and many others for months now. I appreciate your desire to track polls and crunch numbers (we share that passion), but you constantly denigrate unfavorable polling, which undermines what could otherwise be useful analyses.

Also, as a member of the US military, I am saddened that you are so clouded by anti-war slogans that you can't properly scrutinize matters of foreign policy (i.e. separate issues of character, competence, judgment, historical precedent, and intelligence-gathering abilities)in our past Commander-in-Chief. No debate is furthered by unsubstantiated allegations.

Please enjoy the sport of poll-tracking and don't make a sport of substantial political issues of national and international import.

It's thanks to people like Field Marshal and FLAP that all these threads turn into the same old personality-driven partisan pissing matches. Kind of sad.

I am not anti-military but honestly we are losing the war in Afghanistan and even many Republicans are questioning what we are doing there. Had we focused in Afghanistan back in 2003 instead of focusing on our love affair with Iraq, we would probably be doing better in the war on terror.

I personally think we are safer with Obama, because Bush, the Arab countries in a hostile way, and they laughed at us for being duped into thinking Saddam caused 9/11 and that Iraq was importing yellow cake from a poor African nation. I have no bad feelings towards veterans of Iraq, and it was their duty, but the use of torture, and some of the acts the IRaquis at Abu "grab or however you spell it was wrong. If we can use torture and call ourselves a democracy we are absolute hypocrites. Even Pelosi was aware of this use of torture but did not make a strong enough case against the Bush regime. It was a semi-tyranny, because the media won their trust after 9/11 and 80 percent of America thought Iraq was a good thing, but that 20 percent who didn't sway came out the true heroes in my opinion.

The way that Senator Kyl and Tom Tancredo are biased against Latino's and thinking because a few violent illegals killed some ranchers, that we need to suddenly have a witch hunt.

Melvin, Feingold will have to be re-elected to the senate in order challenge Obama. He may be considering it now, but I predict that by 2012 we'll know where the country is heading.

If Obama is popular and his poll numbers are up, nobody would challenge him; if his poll numbers are down because too many Americans have reverted to being slaves to the extreme Capitalistic system, and the right wing Agenda, who has become certain, Obama is half black and half Saudi and was born in Kenya. Obama may get challenged in his party from the right of his own party.

The actual articles of impeachment were for perjury before a grand jury and obstruction of justice.

Interesting that Gore's unfav's are almost as high as Cheney's.

For once I agree with you. If Republicans act like neo-conservatives next time they get in office, then they will never be elected again. A neo-conservative is worse than a liberal, at least a liberal doesn't lie and say they are going to be fiscally conservative. A neo-conservative talks of small government but practices the opposite, is extremely militarily aggressive and believes in government intrusion into our social lives. That's the exact opposite of what our country needs to do.

We need a government that stays within the confines of our Constitution. A government that is small and practices sound money economics. A government that realizes that our quest for a global empire causes hate against us and will eventually lead us to economic destruction. And a government that does intrude on our personal lives and waste resources keeping gays from marrying and keep people from smoking weed in their own home.

If we can return the Republican Party back into the party it used to be, if we can return it to it's true conservative and libertarian principles, then we can expect real change.
