The problem is that this is an American poll, which makes if of little value. Larger numbers of our fellow countrymen at one time believe Saddam had WMDs and that he was responsible for 9/11. Just because a majority happens to think it doesn't mean its true, and that especially goes for international affairs.
The real value here would be a poll of Iraqis on this subject.
A majority thought the surge would make things worse.
sorry conspiracy, I can't resist...a majoirty think global warming is real.
