Obama continues to amaze or baffle depending on your point of view. A 56% approval rating in the face of double digit unemployment, 2 wars, etc. A note to the GOP- I want to thank you for making Obama look good these past few months. Please hold more town hall meetings where you scream in peoples faces and claim that Jesus is watching and God will strike you down, in addition please have Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck continue to be your leaders.

I think most people realize that the two wars and such can't really be reasonably blamed on Obama at this point.

These results really seem all over the place. People are against the health care plan (or at least they think they are) but pro-public option. I suspect a portion of those opposed to the health care bill are actually liberals who want a more liberal bill passed and think it won't happen.

What you are seeing in terms of approval is that Obama basically has the people who voted for him approving of his job. Nothing more, nothing less. For him to drop from here, it will take 1) time as people migrate from blaming Bush to putting the onus on him for the nations troubles and 2) an external catalyst that he handles poorly and that the mainstream media has no other way to spin it in his favor.

lol he's only popular because of the MSM? People don't know the truth to hate him! Cause you really should hate Obama for reasons noone is giving Rush Limbaugh credit for. wow lol.

Attn GOP- I want to help you in your latest efforts. Please let me know which candidate meets all of the purity tests you apply and I will make I assist the "pure" person to help win the primary so they can run against the "impure", "ungodly", and "subversive" Democrat. Where do I sign up and how may I help? PALIN for THE GOP in 2012!

Its no secret the MSM is propping obama up. If he had the same scruitiny as Bush Obama would be at 30 percent. I don't beelive polling from abc, cbs, nbc or cnn. Liberal media outlets like these who do polling is highly suspect. I put much more weight into actuall polling outfits rather than liberal media tryign to do polling.

51 percent o nthe economy....well that makes sense since obama has saved or created jobs in phantom congressional districts....since I assume you all reead the same reports I did. Way to go in Arizona-15!!!!!!!!!!! Can we get some jobs in NV-105 please...or how about CA-6,543.....

It will take time for the stupidity of Obama voters to catch up to themselves....his #'s will drop because his policies are unpopular.

And the media can only prop him up for so long.

Stillow,

You are right. It's a secret plot! Thank you for opening my eyes to this. How can I assist the Strom Thurmond wannabees with their quest for 10 and 12? I want to help.

Main Stream Media. LOL When you guys run out of ideas you always blame the messenger. Maybe instead of cursing the sun when it rises in the morning, you should step out of you ideological stupor and adjust your reality to fit the facts. .

People like Obama and approve of the job he is doing in large numbers because he is doing a good job considering the mess he has to clean up.

A question for the editors; I have been watching the health care polling closely and seen an interesting trend that you might have noticed. You have covered the fact that most polled don't know what a "public option" means. You have also clearly labeled the trend on overall approve/disapprove on health care. A question I have seen pop up on several polls asks whether the individual would favor a government created plan to compete with private insurance. This question, which takes any "label bias" or "label ignorance" out of play seems to be trending at well over 50%. Can you look at this issue?
