I like the job the President is doing and would vote for him again, however, I do not feel he is answering many concerns regarding the health care changes he is pushing. Many Senior citizens are very concerned that Medicare is going to be cut in order to pay for health care for the uninsured. He needs to answer this problem or he will lose a bunch of votes next time around.

President Obama has answered many senior citizens’ concerns. His website www.whitehouse.org holds many links to the President's policies, what he thinks, and what he has spoken on.

Senior citizens are not going to be significantly adversely affected by his health care plan. There will be changes to improve efficiencies and those improved efficiencies you will benefit from. The Presidents' health care plan will lower costs, eliminate the "bubble", and improve your ability to continue with the same doctor that you like, and hospital that you like going to for your health concerns.

The problem with knowing what the President has effectively spoken on is the lack of reading on the part of many people. Obama as promised is transparent in what he is doing. You can see that transparency by going to www.whitehouse.org, choosing the topic or subject of interest to you and doing some reading and study.

Regarding Medicare it has been publicly stated several times by the President that Medicare is not going away.

Medicare will not be eliminated. What will happen and everyone on Medicare or who wants to be on Medicare should welcome is a look at reducing or eliminating waste. This is not a new concept. This is done in the private industries, and it is often done in government entities as well.

The President has done much to ensure Medicare recipients that Medicare is not going away, and again, www.whitehouse.gov is a great source of information on many topics.

President Obama has done more than any previous president to keep you the public informed as to what he wants done, and what he does not want to see happen, and he has been quite clear - Medicare will not be eliminated or its helpfulness to seniors diminished.

When we don't read information from the horse’s mouth (so to speak) but only rely on the omissions of facts and deceitfulness of person's in Congress then it is expected that many people will have in their minds that which is not the truth as to the positions of President Obama and his Administration.

It has been, and continues to be those who align themselves with Republican views of capitalism that have consistently wanted to get rid of Medicare and Medicaid but have been afraid to do so for the very reason that people like one of the commentators stated opposition to the elimination of that socialistic program.

Without people oriented public programs many of us would be in much dire straights than what we are today. People oriented public programs are called socialistic by Republicans. If you are an older person, a senior citizen, then you have benefited from people oriented public programs all of your adult life, and those programs for the most part have been very good to you. Don’t allow the words socialistic or socialism fool you and be made into dirty words. You have benefited for many decades from government programs from the federal level down to local levels that are people oriented. Just because the skin color of the President is not the same as the Majority racial group does not mean the President is narrow minded or a bad man out to get senior citizens or other people.

Help this President reduce your medical costs, and improve your level of health care over the long term. Work with this President, not against him. Allowing political affiliation make decisions for you will hurt you, and me.

Mr. Obama, has made it very clear that his goal is universal, SINGLE PAYER (read government controlled) health care. There is NO way -- once his public option is introduced-- that small businesses will agree to provide any private insurance option for their employees.
Further, our medicare system is already in a terrible mess--after decades of what? GOVERNMENTAL CONTROL!!!
Mr. Obama is pushing socialized medicine all the while lying about what he actual goals are.

Of course Medicare will not be 'eliminated'.
It will just become more and more difficult for seniors, who have worked hard and paid their taxes, to access the care they need and deserve. Obama has already begun to talk about making 'bundled' payments to doctors to encourage them NOT to provide certain types of care.
Americans need to WAKE up. Seniors need to put away their golf clubs and stay out of the casinos---and get busy fighting what will become a nightmare of rationed care. AARP is in the hip pocket of the government.
