"Obama can't debate"..Did you miss the last one?

"Yah know," obviously most of "Joe six pack" America has recorded the debate and not got around to watching Sara! After all the tape and tivo has been watch, America will wake up and see what a decisive victory this "maverick" displayed the other night. Then you will see a statistical tie in Rasmussen. "Yep Yep?"

Than Gallop and Research 2000 will have to "raise the white flag of surrender."

Yep Yep!

I was about to ask that, lol. Polls showed that a slight majority of people thought Obama won the debate.

I can't wait to hear McCain's explanation on how trickle down economics are going to help Americans, and why the fundamental flaws with them will magically vanish with him as President.

Right now the Mccain camp has to be extremely worried, less about Obama and more about Mccain's own low numbers.

His appeal to undecideds, moderates, independents has plummeted over the past few weeks. Right now they just don't trust Mccain/Palin. This could change, certainly, but the Mccain camp has lots of work to do.

"It's the economy, stupid"

It's not just that McCain doesn't know anything much about economics, but what he does know/believe (warmed up Reaganomics) is woefully inadequate to the task at hand. There is no message to sell!

In any case, short of some horrible gaffe by Obama, the debate is unlikely to have much impact on the trendline.

yeah. that 8 point boost obama got after the debate didn't count for anything.

The personal attacks are disgusting

Sarah Palin makes them and won't substantiate in a Press Conference, won't take any questions.

I don't know why MSM is putting up with it.
If they run it, they have to tell the audience that.

New poll in OH has Obama +7. McCain has 3 days to turn this thing around. I'm not sure he should have sequestered himself for a townhall meeting (debate). He should have gone out and tried to present a comprehensive plan to deal with the economy to the American people.

Verbatim from two polls just released: Obama +7 in Ohio and +18 in MN.
________________________________________________

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A new poll suggests Barack Obama has a seven-point lead over John McCain in Ohio.

The Columbus Dispatch says Sunday that Obama leads 49 percent to 42 percent among likely voters in the important battleground state.

The newspaper's poll was conducted Sept. 24-Oct. 3 by mail among 2,262 likely Ohio voters. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus 2.2 percentage points.

A poll done by the Dispatch in the middle of August suggested McCain had a 42 percent to 41 percent lead. Obama's support among Ohio Democrats has increased 10 percent since then, and he now has the backing of two-thirds of those who voted for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the March 4th primary.

In the August poll, just half of Clinton's supporters said they were behind Obama.

By BOB VON STERNBERG, Star Tribune

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has opened up a commanding lead in Minnesota over Republican John McCain, according to a new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll.

The poll, conducted last week among 1,084 likely voters, found that 55 percent support Obama, while 37 percent back McCain.

That's a huge difference from the last Minnesota Poll, conducted in September, which showed the race dead even, with each candidate backed by 45 percent of likely voters. The new poll shows that Obama's surge in the state can be attributed to voters' belief in his ability to deal with the nation's worsening economy, his performance in the first presidential debate and an increase in the number of Minnesotans who call themselves Democrats.

Obama appears comfortably ahead among men, women, and voters of all ages and educational attainment.

The poll's findings come at a time when polls in several other battleground states and nationally are showing a sudden and significant shift to Obama. Gallup's daily national tracking poll released Friday showed Obama leading McCain by 7 percentage points.

Statewide polls conducted last week show Obama overtaking McCain in such key battleground states as Ohio, Virginia and Florida. In Florida, for example, the last four polls have shown Obama with leads of between three and eight percentage points; in the weeks prior, Obama trailed by as many as 10 points.

In Minnesota, for decades the most reliably Democratic state in presidential elections, a CNN/Time poll conducted last weekend showed Obama ahead, 54 percent to 43 percent. However, a Survey USA poll conducted last week showed McCain ahead among the state's likely voters, 47 percent to 46 percent.

I said that the Minneapolis Star-Tribune polls was coming out (as they released the Franken poll yeatrerday, and they always do both together). The MST actually has a pretty good track record that falls close to most of the other polls done in the State with reasonable sample sizes. Something seems odd about the SUSA polling in Minnesota.

Carl Rove has Obama 273, McCain 163, Toss-Up 102

Here is how Rove sees it:

Obama: Kerry States + Iowa + New Mexico + Colorado

Toss-Up: Nevada, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida (all Bush states in 2004)

Granting Colorado to Obama puts him over the top.

Will all the tax cut money that I get from Obama I am planning on buy a new car, a new house, new clothes, and maybe a personal submarine. Actually I will probably only be able to buy a few cups of coffee. But when then price of everything goes up because he is also increasing business taxes I doubt that I will be able to even afford the coffee. I guess good ol Barry forgot to tell you that.

I would have to say since inflation is running away in the USA, the dollar at a low, my stock portfolio lower than it was in 2000, gas 3 times what it was when Bush took over, unemployment and the economy spinning out of control etc. etc. that I'll take my chances thank you!

greg in charlotte:

Boomfail...comparing McCain to Bush is the same comparing Obama to Carter. You may think your stock sucks right now but in the Carter/Obama years you won't have to bitch about stock prices because you won't have any stocks to bitch about and probably no job or gas either.

Now go do you homework work on Jimmy Carter or just be quite.

Hey Greg, if you're so sure that McCain-Palin is the right choice, why don't you give your Obama tax cut money to Sarah Palin so she can make a run for it in 2012. She's obviously going to be a frontrunner in 2012. *sarcasm*

Sarah Palin is slandering Barack Obama's good name and she and McCain are playing dirty politics.

Wasn't Sarah Palin the Director of a 527 political group that was organized by Ted Stevens, the now indicted Senator from Alaska? This article: http://thinkprogress.org/2008/09/01/palin-527-stevens/ says she was.

Wasn't John McCain investigated for his role in the Keating 5 savings and loan scandal? This website: www.keatingeconomics.com
says he was.

VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA AND LETS GET A DEMOCRAT WIN IN NOVEMBER!
