Each candidate holding his base, which is consistent with other polls. Difference in overall poll numbers is due to Independents, which in this poll has Obama +9. Women in this poll has been consistently around +18 Obama. This poll has men as even up. Even if McCain picks up say 2 points with men, or is there now, and Obama retains a comfortable lead with women, popular vote goes to Obama.
Then of course we have to look at the electoral college, state by state.
