HAVE YOU NOTICED HOW THE GOP IS OUT THERE TRYING TO MAKE OBAMA LOOK LIKE A BAD GUY BECAUSE HIS APPROVAL RATING IS SKY HIGH WHEN IT COMES TO LIKABILITY,SO THE GOP TOLD THE MEDIA THAT OBAMA WAS YELLING IN ACTING VERY UN-PROFESSIONAL LASTWEEK AT THEIR BREAKFAST MEETING,WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A BLOWNUP LIE BY FOXNEWS IN SOME MEMBERS OF THE GOP CAUCAS.

Dude, Melvin, lets ease up on the caps and put some punctuation in there. And I say this as someone who probably shares a lot of your viewpoints. Ranting like you do makes you look crazy.

This poll probably includes most of the people who voted for Obama and a few who didn't. If just 54 percent view Obama favorably, that doesn't mean, that more people don't personally like the guy.

A lot of 80's progressives liked Reagan personally but never voted for him or approved of most of his policies.

Lies like what Melvin mentioned above are what 70 percent of the GOP these days loves to do. They knew from day one of Obama's presidency that answering "No" on just about everything was the way they wanted to do business.

The only way us progressives will make a difference is spend at least 10 hours a week from Sept-Nov making phone calls and insuring that non-registered eligable voters get out and in certain states can vote early.

Complaining on these blogs are good stress relief and all, but to change results and beat the odds, go to Obama's web site, and contact at least 10 friends locally and around the country who may feel the same way as us, and make sure they can help out with the midterms in some way.

It's a poll of favorability among all adults. So take that for what its worth. 54/43 sounds about right to me.

My question is this, How is his approval rating not lower? It took him over forty days to come down to Louisiana to comment on the oil spill and he has gotten little to no criticism about that. But when it took the bush administration 4 days to get the team together to go down he was castrated for it taking so long. Another question I will raise is how does The President claim that he is doing everything he can do when he hasnt done anything except declare the top fill is working and when it failed he claimed he will prosecute? How bout lets fix the problem and worry about prosecuting later!!!!
