As you may know, the Norwegian Nobel Committee recently awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to Barack Obama. Do you think Obama has accomplished enough so far to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, or don't you think so? (IF DO NOT THINK HE ACCOMPLISHED ENOUGH) Do you think it is likely or unlikely that Obama will eventually accomplish enough to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize?
19% Accomplished enough
35% Not accomplished enough but likely will
43% Not accomplished enough and likely won't
And regardless of how you feel about the decision to give Obama the Nobel Peace Prize, do you think he should or should not go to the Nobel awards ceremony in Norway to accept the award?
70% Should go, 27% Should not go

Obama never asked for this peace prize, nor do I think in retrospect it was the right time for it. Deep down, Obama knows that himself. In my opinion, the nominating committee even has put Obama on a pedestal; I wish they had waited a few years to see what happened in Afghanistan. Even Obama seemed surprised to recieve it, and for the wonderful social democracies, who view him, he is indeed a hero. America got rid of a great tyrant in 2008; a truly evil Empire of Bush/Cheney death squads in Iraq. It is scary for me as an American to view what happened the previous 8 years, but for nations who are not used to the levels of violence they see on the news, they percieve us as though we are a third world country.
The nobel peace price lost all its credibility when Yasir Arafat won it a decade and a half ago. It then became laughable when Gore won it for science that is unproven.
So America "got rid of a great tyrant in 2008". Interesting that in a hypothetical matchup between Obama and Bush,Obama comes on top by just 50-44. Wait a couple of months and the majority will be wishful for the good old days of W.
Agreed Al. Agreed. Bush was so hated and despicable and he polls within 6 points, probably close to even on a likely voter scenario.
The majority is dumb. Cheny approval is up 20 points, that's double what he had at end of term. People forget and if they have problems with Obama now, they just need to remind themselves that there was a reason that Bush was at 28% approval when he was walking out the door. People seem to like doomspeak with Obama at 48-50% lol... Less you forget my friends...
X, its difficult to get far below your voter support in your first year- usually presidents are well above it going into the midterms. Obama is different. He is the first to ever fall below the support he got in the election within the first year.
Must be all the great leadership he has instilled on us. Given he only leads Bush by 6% on the other poll, that is not good for Obama.
LOL!!
