Yeah, this is about right. One less seat to worry about, I guess.

I think this may narrow a bit. Not enough to matter though.

Although he supported ObamaCare, i can live with Manchin as a democratic senator replacing a Dem senator even though WV is trending Republican. Manchin is pro-life, pro-second amendment and a a staunch fiscal 'conservative'. (conservative meaning cautious).

I have 13 democratic and 6 GOP seats on my list of races to watch. WV is number 13 among the D seats, meaning I didn't think there was much chance of flipping it. However, this poll doesn't help all that much. 268 likely voters? I mean, I think some of Rasmussen's 500 are a bit short.

Billwy,

Don't forget the fact that it was internet-based as well.

To go along with what FM said, another mark in Manchin's favor has to be that he isn't an unrepentant Klansman. Always good to have that on your side.

Oh, Dave . . . you are so bright I bet you light up at night!
Furthermore, if WV is trending GOP, then Raese would be ahead. If you don't live in West Va. then you don't have to live with the fact Manchin will be the next senator. His election will have nothing to do with you Mr. Field Marshall.

Uh actually Juan, Senators make policies for the United States. We all do have to live with the decisions other states make.

This looks about like Brown-Coakley a few months out. Maybe we can talk Obama into coming in and campaigning for Manchin.

Thanks for the history lesson Nick. I didn't know I had to live with the decisions the other states make. LOLLOL!
This poll was conducted after Raese's media buys. I only hope Manchin fails.

No problem. Happy to help out.

Juan, I don't think you understand what "trending" means.

Just wait a few more years and you will see how much its going to cost everyone for the idiotic decisions other states make. Namely, California and Illinois.
