POLL: Quinnipiac Florida Survey

A new Quinnipiac University statewide survey (Issues results, 2008 results) of 1,061 registered voters in Florida (conducted 3/21 through 3/27) finds:

  • Among Democrats, Sen. Hillary Clinton (at 36%) leads former V.P. Al Gore (16%), Sen. Barack Obama (13%), and former Sen. John Edwards (11%) in a statewide Democratic primary.
  • Among Republicans, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani (at 35%) leads Sen. John McCain (15%) and former Speaker Newt Gingrich (11%) in a statewide Republican primary.
  • Giuliani leads Clinton, Obama and Edwards by ten or more points in general election match-ups; McCain leads Obama (45% to 39%) but runs within the margin of error of Clinton and Edwards.
