Is this a poll for Arkansas or Alaska?

Arkansas is AR. Alaska is AK. Take it from the best-dressed hockey mom in America.

Had to keep SOMETHING red today. KS also came in red. TX too but barely (considering). Where's AZ? Would love to see that come in under 10 points.

No miracle there. I thought Bill Clinton's support could push obama a little in there.

Interesting demographics:

Arkansas: White 80%, African-American 15.7%
This poll: White 81.26%, African-American 9.2%

While I don't think Obama wins here, I think if they underpolled African-Americans, it could be a lot closer than 15 points on Nov 4th

The survey was dated by the time it was issued. The first people were surveyed all the way back on October 1st! It took them 21 days to reach their sample size. It's entirely possible that McCain's lead was much greater the fist week in October (Likely) and that Obama was much closer over the last week of the survey (again, very likely).
They need to institute a Civics class in AR.
Only 30% of respondents knew a Senator's term is 6 years.
Only 50% know that the President nominates Supreme Court Justices.
This raises the question: Are we entirely sure that Palin is a U. of Idaho graduate? Could she have sneaked out her degree from the U. of Arkansas? Her Civics skills are equitable with the average AR voter's.

Mr. Keyesisawesome,

As a former resident of Alaskarkana, which straddles the border between AK and AR, I understand your confusion. They grow the chickens in AR (on the South Alaskarkana side), then send the dead ones over to North Alaskarkana to flash-freeze.

Does that help?

Actually, you sound kind of stooped. You should go listen to a chiropractor sometime.

Methinks: Live Carrier Pigeon Interviews if it took 3 weeks.

I may be dumb but 51+36 is 87 that leaves 13%. Shouldn't Macca be winning this one 60:40 at this stage. If I were a betting man I would have a crafty $100 on Obama in AR. The odds should be about 10:1 in a race that could be almost a tie.

Just a thought!
