JMSTiger:

Interesting that McMahon is running the strongest of the Republicans. When it comes down to it, she has no chance. Connecticut has turned into a hardcore Democratic state and the voters there have completely forgiven Blumenthal for his lies about his service record. On top of that, McMahon is a bad candidate. Blumenthal wins by at least 15%.

Field Marshall, I am curious about your estimate of the IQ of GW Bush, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, John Boehner and Mitch McConnell. Do you think that combined they add up to an IQ of 80?

Blumenthal is actually extremely smart. He graduated magna cum lade from Harvard and went to Yale Law School. Saying he is dumb is just plain ignorant. That is like saying Sarah Palin is a rocket scientist. LOL!

UGH. Re-read my post people. I didn't say they HAD an IQ of 80 or 85, I used an analogy using IQ (low ones) to state that the replacement of Dodd with Blumenthal is basically a continuation of the same failed policies. In other words, whats the difference between having someone with an IQ of 80 replaced with another with virtually the same IQ? Nothing. No where in my post did i state Dodd or Blumenthal HAD those IQs.

But i see some of the IQs on here are quite lacking and the obligatory left wingers talking about GW Bush and Palin come out in droves like Pavlov ringing a bell.

What happened to all the conservative fears of run away inflation and the calls to buy gold? LOL! Now you are saying what liberals have been saying for a long time: avoiding deflationary trap is our biggest problem.

But I doubt conservatives have enough honor to admit they were wrong.

bigfoot9p6:

FM, I think Palin, at least, would appreciate you not claiming that she has a high IQ. She would be absolutely mortified if someone thought she had an IQ over 60. Then she might be, gasp, an elitist! As for failed policies, take a good look at our situation right now. That is the result of the successful implementation of conservative ideology. You guys won! Enjoy your prize.

bigfoot,

It seems you (and others on here) have a reading comprehension issue. Where did i write that now?

I have no idea what Palin's IQ is. I would venture to guess its not near GW Bush's or Obama's. But i would bet a fortune that Romney's is higher than both.

OL,

Inflation will be coming. Its inevitable. In some respects, its here already. You just have housing rents pulling down the number. Thus a good statement could be that we have deflation in assets you own (house, car, boat) while we are starting to see inflation in everyday things you buy. (food, gas, clothing, staples).

Did you read the article OL? If you did, its in no way favorable to the Dems and their economic policy, if they even have one?

The entire article was based Milton Friedman's work (a neo-classical economist), and didn't offer anything new or interesting.

And if public debt is really so worrying to investors why is 10 year government debt being sold at a very low rate of 3%? The facts just don't jive with what you are saying.

Is the deficit and debt concerning in the long term? Yes. But worrying about it now with unemployment at 9.5% is idiotic. If we can't get unemployment down we'll never be able to fix our debt problems anyhow.

@ Tea party Rules

That's interesting. Is there a possibility you may vote for Palin in the primaries?

bigfoot,

Is that like being smart enough to know there are 57 states in the country? It also takes enormous brilliance to spend 20 years in a racist church.

Or how about Obama flipping on his no tax pledge to the middle class, closing guantanamo, ending lobbyists in the admin, posting new bills for 5 days, ending the wars, etc.? The list of flip-flopping by Obama is endless actually. Hope and change!

But i see you choose to accept those while pointing to Romney as a flip-flopper. Very interesting and a great way to eliminate your credibility.

And I guess you have to resort to demeaning someone's religion because you realize he is in fact, much smarter than your savior. Again, typical.

I'd like an example of an institution. I mean we're not talking about groups just based on race like the KKK or Black Panthers are we? I'm very interested...

Congressional black caucus is one glaring one.

OL,

Did you read the whole article? They are arguing that DEFLATION, not inflation is on the horizon. In addition, they are stating that the stimulus was worthless, most economists do, and that the tax and debt issue are going to be big problems down the road. You should really read the article.

Well firstly African-American is not just a race, it is also an ethnicity. White is only a race, French is an ethnicity.

Anyhow, are you saying it was OK for the Mormons to not allow black people in the Temples? God not only are you a hypocrite, but you are showing your racist colors yet again.

I read the article. It is neo-classical drivel. But the point I was making, which obviously you did not grasp, is that conservatives like you were screaming about inflation and telling everyone to invest their money in gold because the American dollar would become like Zibabwe's currency in the very near future (not just long term). That is obviously not the case. Conservatives have now accepted that fact, though they won't admit they were wrong (like always) about inflation.

Did i say that? I did not. I did not respond at all to the question. Can i also imply answers to questions i pose to you and then call you racist? Pathetic.

You are showing your dumb colors again. Bigfoot is showing he is a bigot yet you come after me? Classic liberal hypocrisy. Classic!

I post an article about the bad economic policies and the DEFLATION that they are causing and you imply that i and other conservatives are hypocrites because we called for inflation. Wow... great debating skills you possess.

Obviously you know zero about economics and finance so this is obviously a waste of my time. You clearly just know how to call people racists and that's about it. I've known that for some time but this basically confirms it. I think i'm done trying to have a rational conversation with you. Its clearly not possible since you are clearly not dealing with a full deck.

@FM

So do you think that was a racist policy the Mormons had or not? You have yet to give a clear answer on that.

Liberals like Krugman were warning against deflation more than a year ago, all the while the ignoramuses on the right were screaming their heads off about inflation. Now that you guys were once again proven wrong you change your argument. It is rather amusing to watch. Why can't you guys just admit you were wrong? LOL!

Field Marshal:

So do you think that was a racist policy the Mormons had or not? You have yet to give a clear answer on that.

Of course it is. Do you not think the CURRENT congressional black caucus is racist?

What conservatives were screaming about inflation? I know many economists on both sides of the aisle that were clamoring about inflation and many on both sides crying about deflation. Who is right remains to be seen. Way too early to tell. We'll know in a few years.

bigfoot,

Simply grab your funk and wagnals and look up the difference yourself. I'm not your teacher. The difference is quite easy to discern for people with the IQ of a gnat.

@FM

So since Mormons had racist policies wouldn't that make them racist in 1980?

As for the black caucus, that is really a caucus for the African-American ethnicity. If people of Slavic-American, French-American, Swedish-American, Italian-American or whatever ethnicity want to start their own caucus I would be just fine with that. White is not an ethnicity.

And, no, liberal economists led by Krugman said that there is not an immediate concern over inflation. It was the conservatives who were telling everyone to buy gold. It wasn't "both sides of the aisle", take your share of the blame like a good boy.

"Who is right remains to be seen. Way too early to tell. We'll know in a few years."

Um actually we know now. We are all in agreement the debt in the LONG TERM is unsustainable. But it was neo-classical conservative nuts who were saying we were in immediate risk for inflation. Not 10 or even 5 years from that point in time. A year. And guess what: it has been more than a year, and liberals were right. Deal with it.

BHAHAHAHAHA

What an ignorant, bigoted, racist and anti-semitic statement. So white europeans are divided into ethnic groups but black africans are all the same? HAHAHA Do they all look the same to you? How about asians? Hahaha, I almost fell out of my chair.

@StatyPolly

You are totally ignorant of what the word African-American means. The word African-American refers to a hodge podge of African and European ancestries.

Any single African-American has ancestry from multiple African tribes and even has a lot of European blood since black women were habitually raped from slavery to Jim Crowe (i.e. Strom Thurmond).

African-American is an ethnicity unique to America. In fact an immigrant from Africa often times is not considered "black" or "African-American" by many. Even though they may sound odd to some. That is why during the primaries there were people saying Obama was not "black enough" because his father was a Kenyan immigrant and not of slave ancestry, but the fact Obama was married to Michelle, who is genuine slave descendant, gave Obama cred.

Anyhow, if you think African-Americans still divide along tribal lines then you are an idiot, which appears to be the case.
