Crist is only up by one in his own poll it means he is probably trailing by 6 in reality.

Thanks a lot Meek. You say you love the Democratic party but because of you we might lose the Senate. what a spoiler you are. Although because of you Sink might be able to win. You are a mixed bag mister!

Who says Crist would caucus with the Democrats? A lot of people act as though Crist is the second coming of Jim Jeffords, or Arlen Specter. He's not. Whether Crist wins is at, or near, the bottom of my senate priorities.

And if Meek's presence gets Sink elected, that's more important than who wins the senate seat.

kinda pathetic how democrats are hoping a real democrat meek loses. meek's a pro-choice, life-long liberal. why should he drop out to help a weasel like crist? why doesn't crist drop out and back meek

If Crist wins, which he won't, I believe he'd caucus with the party in power. He's a slimy opportunist, that's what he does.

You're such a racist. Remember, Meek is black, so you're not allowed to criticize him in any form or fashion, otherwise you're a racist. But feel free to talk trash about Crist and Rubio all you want, since they're just whities.

14 percent undecided. I bet that is good for Crist, because that probably includes loyal Democrats wondering if they should be safe and vote for Crist.

Honestly if Crist announced he would caucus with the Republicans and I was a Florida Democratic voter, yes I would be disappointed, but I still might vote for him. I mean, knowing what he is like as Governor, I would bet that he would cross over on many issues like Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. I could go for that. I would still prefer that over having a hard line tea bagger like Rubio in the senate.

Why? Again, we're not talking Jim Jeffords or Arlen Specter. Up till this year, he was a down the line conservative. He makes a couple of good vetos, makes some nice statements about Obama, and some people are ready to nominate him for Democrat of the Year.

I would very much appreciate it if you would not refer to "tea-baggers." "Tea bag" refers to a repulsive sex act, and I suspect that you are well aware of the "joke."

I see no difference between a term like tea-bag and using the N-word as an epithet. Both are intended to be offensive.

I have never understood why Emily allows use of such an offensive term.

When Republicans stop referring to the "Democrat" party, instead of using the "Democratic" party, maybe we'll stop using the term teabaggers.

70+ House Seats and 10+ Senate Seats are going to the Republican's. This will be one of the greatest victories (and wake up calls) the country has made since 1994. Thank God the country only took a 5 year nap...

"Democrat Party" refers to a repulsive sex act?!!?

I had no idea. Can you link to the definition? Just curious.

I think urban dictionary defines "democrat party" as a festive gathering of individuals who attempt to insert their heads in their own rectums

I didn't know that calling someone a Tea bagger was offensive or vulgar. I had not even heard any slang meanings of the word even on Cable news. Educate me?

Just type teabagger into google and look it up. Not going to post what it is here, but it is quite offensive. Its definitely meant as a slur.

I don't know why democrat is more offensive than democratic. I mean the plural of members of the democratic party is democrats. It would sound weird to say "Patty Murray, a Washington Democratic." The only time it even seems that there is a different option is if you are using the term Democrat or Democratic party, but hey if you find it offensive I'll say Democratic Party instead of Democrat Party. Still can't think of a better term to use for the plural of members of that party though though than democrats.

I would sure be thrown off this site if I explained it here. You will have to look it up. I am no prude, but I was disgusted the first time I looked it up, especially when I remembered that the first time I heard it, it had appeared on CNN, CBS, and MSNBC on the same night, each time delivered with a leer.

A few days after using it, Anderson Cooper apologized on air for using such an offensive term for a group of Americans. No one else did that I am aware of.

Later NPR used it. I wrote a letter to the NPR ombudsmen. She was shocked when she discovered what it meant and dismayed when NPR turned down her request to quit using it.

Paleo:
How about if you continue using tea-bagger, we conservatives will start saying "c**ks**king" liberals? That would be more equivalent but still far less offensive. I do not advocate such behavior even in retaliation, but have grown tired of casual use of this offensive term.

Personally, I am not a tea-partier, but I consider them fellow Americans who are no worse than any other group and better than many. No group deserves to be called repellent names and such crudity is out of place here.

I wrote to Emily about this months ago without mentioning the offenders but received no response.

Why don't we call it the Republic Party.
I have always used the term Republican to describe the Rpublican Party. However, I will no longer do so because of the inability of Republicans to say the word Democrat.
I think my new name for the Republican Party will be the Nazi Party. If they can change the name of the Democratic Party, I can change the name of the Republican Party to the Nazi Party.
It is hard to tell the difference.
