Why even bother with 2011. Why hasn't anyone had a poll for Delaware? I know that Mr Castle is more like a Scott brown Republican than a Jim Demint Republican, but is it still a contest or a coronation?

Mike Huckabee said that

Its a coronation, Castle has never lost a race in his 40 years of public service. When Obama loses in 2012, Biden can come try and beat Castle but I doubt even he would be able to by that time. His association with this failed administration will forever tarnish his reputation and leagacy.

I agree with you Farleft, why wont anyone poll in Del and NH? But you can bet you are going to see a poll from Rasmussen in WV as soon as the candidates are announced.

Having Castle in the Senate may not be such a bad thing. He's one of the few Republicans in Congress I have any (slight) respect for. Like Brown he's also constrained by his constituents' ideology to a degree so we don't have to worry about him turning into Sharron Angle. Having a working semi-centrist block (with Brown, Snowe, Collins, Nelson, Crist?) will actually result in legislation being shaped to their liking to get it passed in the Senate.

It is so stupid for the governor to have a special election in WV. He should wait until he sees a poll. If the Democrat would lose, he should postpone the election til 2012 They better at least pick an interim senator soon, or I'll be really pissed. You can bet if Lautenberg was to die, governor Christie would fight like hell to not have a special election until 2012.

The GOP is the grim reaper and have benefitted once by someone's death; I am sure they will pull their bullshit in WV and probably in NJ.

I hope someday payback time will come, because the stupid things that the right wing morons do and say always comes back to haunt them.

We have to talk common sense into the voters.

Castle and Hoeven seem like good guys, but I don't really have much respect for any of the other GOP challengers.

If both Bunning and McConnell have such lousy numbers in Kentucky, maybe voters there will say we want to go back to the days of Wendell Ford and having competant representation.

Castle is running for Senate. His term will be 6 years long. So Biden can just take his seat back in 2016 at the end of Obama's second term:)

Actually that's wrong. Castle is running to fill the remainder of Bidens term when he was re-elected in 2008. The seat will be up again in 2014.
