Personally, i hope she doesn't run. But i hope she doesn't make that decision known until 2011 so that the libs can really squirm in their seats until then. They seem to get really angry of her for some reason. My guess is because she is a woman (good looking one to boot) and conservative and they think they have that vote locked up. Similar to the Clarence Thomas hearings in the early nineties.

In any case, how many polls were released in '08 asking if Obama was qualified. Think they have roughly the same overall experience with Palin having much more executive as opposed to legislative.

Looks like Sarah could hold her own in the NH republican primary. I could definitely see her winning the Iowa and South Carolina primaries, which would put her in good position to get the nomination.

I hope the republicans do this. The chances of Palin getting 270 electoral votes are very low. I do think she'd do decently in the popular vote, though. She'd probably get a surge in some red states.

Squirm in our seat? BWAHAHAHAHA. Wow you really are deluded.

I'm going to vote in the Republican primary just so I can vote for her to be the Republican nominee and screw up their chances. HA!

FM, it's 'cos she's an arrogant idiot. At least Bush knew he was stupid. Palin thinks she's brilliant.

Palin is going to run as the nominee of the Fox News created third party, the Teabag Party. She'll split the votes quite well.

Oh, I forgot to mention that she's also incredibly condescending... just like Bush. I can understand why conservatives like her so much, she's almost a clone of Bush in every way, and you guys loved him (before you threw him under the bus recently) 'cos he was so "folksy" or whatever... like that is so important...

"Palin thinks she's brilliant."

I don't get that vibe from her. Have you read her book? She knows she's not brilliant. But she's proud of that. My favorite quote: "All I needed to know I learned on the basketball court." In other words, knowing more actually makes you less able to see the truth, because common-sense always trumps complexity and nuance.

It's part of the anti-establishment rhetoric that various politicians have used ever since Andrew Jackson. But Palin is probably a little to folksy for her own good. And she has far too many chips on her shoulder. The most illuminating aspects of the book regard her vindictiveness toward anyone who dared disagree or oppose her politically.

Right-wing populism is effective, and I wouldn't underestimate it for a second. However, given the demographic changes the U.S. has gone and is going through, I just don't see how she wins enough suburban voters to carry her to 270.

Judging by the comments on the board, i am right.

Careful what you wish for OL, i did the same in my state for Obama because i thought the populace was too smart to elect a socialist with ZERO experience, no accomplishments, and questionable associates to the most powerful job in the world. I was wrong.

Difference is Obama graduated from Havard Law magna cum lade, and Palin hopped from one community college to another and eventually landed in some toilet bowl university in Idaho.

Obviously hasn't helped him very much.

"Obviously hasn't helped him very much."

He did become President of the United States...

And what happened? Lowest approval rating after one year since they began tracking it. And that WITH a supermajority. Not good.

Obviously, a degree only gets you so far. Experience counts for something.

That has more to do with a 10% unemployment rate. If it continues to go down then you will certainly see his approvals go up.

Field Marshal:

I disagree. I think it has to do with the fiscal situation because the voters still pin the 10% on Bush, not Obama.
