Field Marshal:

Why bother? NY will never wake up to their regressive politicians.

Vance Ulrich:

Democrats pretty much control the entire northeast/new england. It's not just NY. There's not a single Republican in New England and very few in the northeast.

So I guess that makes the entire Northeast seaboard regressive.

Field Marshal:

Agreed Vance. Especially Vermont.

Von Wallenstein:

moderate republicans do well in new england; it's the red-meat conservatives who don't stand a chance. snowe, brown, collins, gregg, sununu, ayotte, have all represented (or will, in ayotte's case) new england states in the senate. vermont's had a few GOP guvs in a row, the republican candidate for Me. gov is in the lead. Conn., Mass. and R.I. all have or have had in the past five years republican governors. the right republican candidates can win in new england
