I am being totally serious when I say this, but I find this lack of wanting a trial by some to be very disturbing and frankly as un-american as it gets. I challenge anyone to explain to me the difference between what Timothy McViegh did in Oklahoma City vs. this? The fact the McVeigh was an american citizen is the only difference in my eyes. What he did was just as horrible as what any terrorist from the middle east has done. Yet he was tried, convicted, and put to death by the justice system. So why should it not be the same for these scumbags? We have courts and a judicial system for a reason...let them work and stop the nonsense.

lat,

You don't see the difference between Tim McVeigh and an enemy combatant during a war? Really?

Can you give me a valid reason why you need to give someone who has nothing to do with the United States some of our rights? I can't.

THe only reason I can find for this to be a trial at all is just an excuse to prosecute Bush policies. It's crap and you know it.

BTW, totally biased polling questions. Using the "New York City" buzzword associated with terrorism to stimulate support.
