Looks like Tea party favorite Joe Miller upended Lisa Murkowski. Also looks like Meek won upping Rubio's chances in November. On a trivial note, the VT democratic primary for governor is locked up. Trivial since VT is a VERY regressive state with more cows than people.

What the hell does Vermont have to do with anything? Having more cows than people really doesn't say much either.

North Carolina had more pigs than people when I lived there (probably still true) and it's one of the most populous states in the union.

Gosh, I hope the Murkowski results hold.

How is VT regressive?

It's beautiful, I love it. Wouldn't want to live there though, too damn cold.

I like how they control sprawl. The only state that does it effectively, imo.

FWIW, their state gov't is one of the most efficient and corruption-free.

Aaron,

The comment was directed at FLAP and his daily ridiculous comments about other states that he deems regressive and progressive. I find it amusing when he states these assertions so I shot one back at him.

Peoples' definition of what constitutes progressive and regressive are as disparate as people's likes of food, cars, etc.

I like how they control sprawl. The only state that does it effectively, imo.

How can you have sprawl when you have no people?

Problem is you take him seriously... preempting his comments and all.

Thank Goodness for Oregon, so far. Some of the best Democrats are neck to neck in states where a Republican hasn't won that state for president in 20 years or more. Wyden is a good honest person, as much as any politician can be, and so are Leahy and Mikulski.

Vermont isn't a regressive state; it is a state where political campaigns of both parties are fairly honest and they have some campaign finance rules. No negative ads on tv, no billboards and 527's are limited. I mean left wing organizations can't run the angry 527 ads, just as much as Conservative groups. All the anti- health care ads were coming from NY State based Cable stations, or NH, not the Vermont ones. It is nice that this state has a conscience.

Even if the Republican wins the Governor's race again, at least I feel it was honest in Vermont and they don't pull the same dirty tricks they do in Wisconsin or CA or Missouri.

VT isn't as snowy or cold as the Great Lakes states like WI, MN or Michigan. Snow fall is about the same as NH or western Mass in VT
