Specter is firing back at Sestak's Specter-Bush-McCain-Palin ad with his own Obama endorsement ad... and we've still got a week to go! Specter's last ditch hope, it appears, is holding on to Black voters in Philly. The interesting setup now that Specter and Williams have had their fates tied to the same voters.

Well, if Specter can manage somehow to win a tough primary in this environment, he just may find a way to win in the fall as well...

If Specter can pull off the primary and the general..

This comes to mind:

Not one of my faves, but highly regarded nevertheless.

Win or lose, I would guess this is Arlen last campaign. He is 80 and looking frail. If he wins, he's got 6 years of free reign. Why would he continue to vote lockstep with Dems or even stay a Dem is beyond me. He can flip it to anyone and everyone.

GO SPECTER! I guess..

I saw the new Obama ad....it was pretty similar to the 2004 ads with Bush. Specter is such a self serving idiot.

LordMike:

It's possible, Staty... they could restore all of his seniority to woo him over... of course, it only matters if there is a chance as a majority for the GOP.

Maybe Sestak should use that theory in the next part of his campaign.

Oh, according the Ambinder, two polls come out tomorrow on this race. One has Specter up by two (I bet Quinnipiac), and the other has Sestak up by two.

The GOP pretty much pushed Specter out of the party. They no longer want moderates. There is no way they would woo Specter back, nor would he want to change parties again. He seems quite comfortable where he is.

Harry Enten:

The +2 for Specter has got to be Quinnipiac because Greg Sargent said Franklin & Marshall showed a Sestak lead...

Whatever happens this one is going to be tight I'm going to go out on a narrow limb and say that Specter defeat Sestak 51% to 49% similar to the result against Toomey in the primary in 2004. While this is my prediction, I am not oozing with confidence and feel it could go either way. OBAMAFAN make sure all your friends come out and vote for Specter, if Sestak wins his face will be on MSNBC 24/7 and I don't need that kind of aggrivation.

JMartin, LOL regarding MSNBC. That's a visual I'd rather not see as well. Don't you worry J, I'll do my best to get people out to vote for Specter. I made plenty of calls for Obama. I might do the same for him.

jmartin, or you could choose not watch the lefty Limbaughs at MSNBC and consequently not have to worry about seeing Sestak.

Chris V, the ignorance of your statement is erth shattering but then again I'd expect no less from you.

How about elaborating on why you disagree with what I'm saying instead of just saying it's "ignorant?" Just this once.

Most of your posts consist of baseless attacks on candidates you don't like and supporters of candidates you don't like (i.e. why are these stupid people supporting Candidate A instead of Candidate B?) And every time I mention this, you try to insult me in some way or another, accuse me of "throwing a tantrum," "yelling," etc.
