POLL: Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby South Carolina Dem Primary


A new in a series of Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby tracking surveys of South Carolina (conducted 1/22 through 1/24) finds:

  • 811 Likely Democratic Primary Voters (± 3.4%)

    38 Obama
    25 Clinton
    21 Edwards
    0 Kucinich
    0 Gravel
    5 Someone else
    7 Not sure

Since the beginning of their tracking survey (conducted 1/20 through 1/22), Obama has moved from 43% to 38%, Edwards from 15% to 21%, while Clinton remains at 25%.

Interesting how all of these polls come with such different numbers at this point i am unsure of where any candidate stands however i am fairly certain that Obama is in the lead, but how much of a lead is a different question. I will put no faith in any polls from now on. I did not put much faith in them to begin with, but now i have absolutely faith in them. Who will win and by how much is a question we will not know until after SC votes.

Yeah the SC polls seem to be all over the place the last few days, as far as how big of a lead Obama has. They all agree that he has a lead.. Just a question of is it six points or sixteen points. We shall see..

But the most interesting thing about this poll is it shows Edwards actually almost within the margin of error behind Clinton. Looks like it's still not locked up that Clinton will take second. If Edwards pulls second like he did in IA, he might be able to give a real final push through Feb.5.
