Note: These results are not from the Gallup Daily but rather a completely separate sample using a different questionnaire conducted with USA Today.

Maybe this should be mentioned: "In the survey, Obama edges McCain 47%-44% among registered voters. Clinton beats McCain 50%-44%."

There is something strange about this poll. I have two questions: (a) Was the McCain vs Dems sample a superset of the Clinton vs Obama sample?
(b) Did the Clinton vs Obama sample include independents?

If the answers to (a) and (b) are yes then it seems REPUBLICANS are breaking disproportionately for Clinton. If the answer to (b) is know then independents are breaking much more heavily towards Clinton than either McCain or Obama. This seems to contradict CW.
