Romney's stock seems to be going down. It amazes me how well Huckabee's doing considering he commuted the sentence of that guy who shot 4 cops in Tacoma.

Field Marshal:

I sure hope its none of the 4 reps listed here. Although Huck polling within 1% of an incumbent pres is good for him. Not a big fan of him though.

Come on Huntsman or Daniels!

Ya that list is not the best, I could stomach Romney just cuse he actually has some experience with an economy, working in the private sector and seems to be a pretty smart guy. He just flips on issues and passed that awful HC bill when he was Governor. But ya Daniels or Huntsman, I wouldnt mind Jindal but he is waiting I think. Barbour in Miss wouldn't be bad. I also like Perry but I doubt anyones going to go for another Texas guy in a while, even though he is a lot different then Bush, but oh well plenty of time.

Jindal is a 2016 guy for sure. Too young at this point.

i really think this poll needs Ron Paul. He is the ONLY conservative that will do what is best for this country. Under his presidency the dollar will strengthen, the money printing will stop, and spending will be reigned in.

ChicagoKid:

Ya Jindal in 2016 will happen if Obama gets his second term. I agree Ron Paul would be great, he had my primary vote and he would have it again. Though, he is getting old and I don't think he will run again, and if he does I hope he gets the attention he needs.

I think its more realistic to hope his son wins in Kentucky and his future buils up from there.

RP is good but i don't agree with him wanting the U.S. back on the gold standard. Fiat money is too flexible and dynamic in helping the economy if you have sensible people in control of the spending. Lately, we have not had this.

Farleftandproud:

This poll is truly scary, and it goes to show that the most contreversial and extreme candidate besides from Sarah Palin is only behind Obama by 1.
The GOP Governors, especially in the south are held to be tough on crime and have been frequently critisizing for not staying executions of people who may possibly be innocent. This is outrageous on Huckabee's part, because if I were a governor, I could never give clemency to this monster who shot the cops in Washington. I may be liberal, but trust me I would fight like hell to keep someone like that behind bars as much as possible. Huckabee making a mistake like this is going to lose points with conservatives. Lets not forget the Willy Horton ads in Mass. when Dukakis gave clemency to a guy doing hard time, who got released and killed someone. George H. W. Bush's campaign ran the ad endlessly

ChicagoKid:

Im not going to call it "scary:, but ya for once Im going to agree with you here Farleft. I like Huckabees personality and his ideas for a VAT tax, but thats about it. Too much religious emphasis and not a strong enough record as governor. The guy he let off, and people like him, need to be in jail for life or get the Death Penalty. Christ people who sell drugs can get harsher punishments and longer time, which I find absurd.

Common Sense?:

This poll is really close and even though the numbers are meaningless Obama better start making some progress(in the peoples eyes) or he is in deep water.

Huckabee is out of the race. Why are they even polling him?
