Jase:

Much as I love The Economist, Yougov is a pretty crappy polling company. It's been consistently ranked as one of the most inaccurate, particularly in election polls.

I'd say Obama has left the mid 50's and is now in the low 50's. Gallup tracker has him down to 53, rasmussen tracker at 49, thi poll at 50, others shwoing 52 or 53....its pretty safe to say he is now in the low 50's and slowly dropping.

Jase: YouGovPolimetrix was actually rated the #2 most accurate pollster in the Presidental election (see http://www.fordham.edu/images/academics/graduate_schools/gsas/elections_and_campaign_/poll%20accuracy%20in%20the%202008%20presidential%20election.pdf) and YouGov in the UK is consistently talked about as the most accurate in UK election polls. Where are you getting your info from that says they are one of the most inaccurate?
