The party ID looks off to me. Too many Dems and Repubs and too few independents. No recent survey I've seen has this kind of self-identification. Hard to believe everyone just decided to self-identify as a Dem or Repub. Also even Ras has Repub self-ID at a much lower % than this.

Overall I'd agree that Obama is still about even on job performance. This is excellent in a time of extremely high unemployment (and economic uncertainty), two wars, and an ongoing disaster in the Gulf.

Question 35: Do you favor or oppose to require people to show documents to prove their immigration status if government officials have reasonable cause to ask for them?

84% favor, 13% oppose.

75% of Dems favor.

WOW! That's a lot of racists in this country.

Do you favor or oppose allowing local and state police to detain anyone who cannot prove their immigration status?

765 approve, 19% oppose.

Not sure how that makes someone a racist, maybe you can explain that FM.

I would answer yest to that statement as well, which makes it a fairly useless polling question as it doesn't differentiate anything meaning. My guess is your definition and my definition of "have reasonable cause to ask" varies greatly.

That's a good question Thad. Why don't you ask Obamalover and some of your far-lefties on the board? I'm sure they'd be happy to fill you in on how it makes one racist.

Reasonable cause should be defined as any realistic chance the person is breaking the law. In AZ, the police cannot ask you your immigration status unless you are being arrested or questioned for breaking some other crime.

35% GOP respondents is about 10% too high, 20% Indies is almost 15% too low!
