Kos had Obama at 58 favorable just a couple weeks ago....odd that his favorable rating is now down to 52. Approval I can understand dropping, but favorable dropping that fast?

Can Boehner and McConnell get any more unpopular?

No, Boehner and Mcconnell really have nowhere to go but down. Not too much redeeming about them. I do have to admit that the Senate GOP candidates in 2010 do have me concerned; I don't know how they stand on the issues, but they are trying hard to reach out to women. In CO, NH, and likely Nevada, the GOP candidates will be women running against men. It doesn't strike me as a coincidence. In Ohio, Missouri and NC the likely Democratic candidates will be women against men.

2010 will be the Battle of the Sexes in the US Senate campaigns. We may have Gillibrand Vs Pataki or Guilliani in NY as well.

It is a good strategy for the GOP since it has been obvious that White females have been voting more democratic in recent elections. I notice that on many polls there is a 12 point gap between Obama's approval among white men and white women. The Democratic male candidates need to reach out to the rural voters and older blue color guys and come across as "real men's men". and the GOP women candidates have to follow Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins technique by being socially moderate but fiscally conservative.
