Boom,

He was talking about tax policy and you are taking the quote out of context...If that is the way you think McCain can win this election you are wasting your time.

How am I taking it out of context? Can you explain? he said "everyone benefits when you spread the wealth around". How is that "out of context"?

So what you are saying is that if Obama's "spreading the wealth" comment is what he really thinks, then it is bad?

Yes, especially since McCain has proposed his own redistributive policies. If he wants to abandon his health care plan, etc., he is welcome to do so, especially since a hardline anarchist position would secure at least 500 electoral votes for Obama.

I really wish boom were McCain's campaign manage. Embracing libertarian economic-anarchism right now would be suicide for McCain. Americans want wealth invested back into local communities, this is not the least bit controversial, but if McCain wants to abandon his health care plan, etc., he is welcome to do so.

Looking pretty good, the race seems pretty stable at this point. Unless McCain pulls off some brilliant debate performance, he isn't going to be able to break this and catch up.

But remember, McShame begins his "comeback tour" today!

Indeed. The stability of the race appears to be its key feature at the moment. I'll repost the link for a graph of last week's trackers that I put up on the Zogby board to illustrate precisely that point:

And I reckon that even if McCain turned into Cicero on Wednesday night, it would not be enough. His campaign is too much of a shambles to capitalise on what scarce good news comes its way.

The odds of McCain winning the last debate are close to zero. There is really nothing new that the two candidates can say and their positions on the issues are known. A direct attack to Obama (Ayers etc.) would not be beneficial. And McCain cast himself already over and over as the experienced one in the room and did not work. Too bad Obama is too classy to just say "Senator, what does it say about your experience in your pick for VP?"

As if there was any doubt that RCP has a Wingnut slant, they have started using Gallup's LV instead of the RV that has always been released in the past. (To the joy of boombatty.) This year more than ever, you cannot look away from the massive amounts of newly registered voters that aren't classified as Likely Voters, since they obviously didn't vote in the last election. Besides discarding polls that show a larger Obama lead such as R2000, and including Rethug driven polls, this is just one more example how they are trying to make the margin appear lower than it most likely is.

3 more weeks and everyone will see what the real margin is. Can't wait!

Boom,

Since you don't believe most of the polls here, I have to think you also don't accept stats that show that the middle class is shrinking and wealth is increasingly being concentrated among a very small class of people. Oh, I'm sure you can run back over to Free Republic and figure out how this indisputable fact is Clinton's fault.

There's nothing radical about supporting an economic and tax policy that will promote a stronger middle class. Fact is, the alternative has been failing for the past eight years.

Let's also clarify that your panic about this is probably not bound to your personal interest. You are probably not a millionaire. This either means you are selfless enough to vote against your own economic interests or a complete tool. I'm inclined to believe that latter.

Finallly, If I want to read an idiot conservative blog, I'll go there myself. Your posts are nothing more than spam. This is a polling site.

Maybe McCain will introduce an entirely new economic policy. He likes to spring new crap on us in the debates. Being so "mavericky" and all. :)

He's got all of the spontaneity and kookiness of Ross Perot without the charisma and charts.

LOL Boomfail. Does that mean he's coming back to reality?

Boom- Go back to the previous poll (Zogby). I have a quote that I want you to try and figure out...seems the fellow was a Marxist, too!

Who controls the polls???

This apparently from McCain's new stump

"Senator Obama is measuring the drapes, and planning with Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid to raise taxes, increase spending, take away your right to vote by secret ballot in labor elections, and concede defeat in Iraq. But they forgot to let you decide. My friends, we’ve got them just where we want them."

"My friends, we’ve got them just where we want them": In other words, it's the McCain campaign that's caused Obama's lead in the polls--just so they can pull the rug from under him. Is that genius or what?
